Theme Bells, Boats, and the Birth of Our Nation
East Hampton’s Old Home Days Parade celebrates our history as The Bell Town, our connection to Lake Pocotopaug, and America’s 250th birthday. Participants are encouraged to incorporate this year’s theme into their entry.
All parade participants must register in advance.

Shuttle buses for OHD Parade Participants:
The shuttle buses will start at 9:00am- 10:45am from Congregational Church parking lot to the parade line up area at East Hampton High School. After the parade approx. 12:00pm - 1pm the shuttle buses will run the route again to take participants back to EHHS.
Parade participants begin lining up at 9:30am. Parade volunteers wearing Orange vests and at each division.
Information table is in front of the VFW.
PARADE OFFICALLY STARTS AT 11AM
Parade Meeting points:
Escort Division: Corner of Route 66 and North Maple Street
Division 1: North Maple Street
Division 2: East Hampton High School - Along Tennis court side
Division 3: East Hampton High School - Rear
Division 4: Hills Avenue
* Please be mindful of the residents that live near the staging areas as you line up and await the start. Stay off private property. Porta Potties are located at the VFW.
PARADE ROUTE:
- Parade begins at the corner of N. Maple Street and Route 66
- Route 66 then Right on Route 196 (Lakeview St)
- Stay on Route 196, Keep right on Summit Street
- Follow Summit St (RT. 196) past gazebo to the intersection of Main Street
- Parade ends.
